Bournemouth Classes

All classes/showcases (see below) are at Wessex Lesiure Centre, The Wessex Hotel, 11-13 West Cliff Road, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH2 5EU and cost £5

Bounce Kids! (Saturdays)

Two diverse classes for children aged 5-9:

Contemporary Bounce Kids
A fun-filled class that will stimulate your child’s confidence, choreography skills and improve their flexibility, strength, partner work/lifts and dance technique.  Each term will have a theme that the dance teacher and children will choreograph together, in preparation for their final showcase.  Previous themes have been ‘under the sea’, ‘four seasons’, ‘Christmas’ and ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

Street Bounce Kids
A lively class that will extend your child’s dance technique and confidence, specifically looking at styles of street dance: locking+popping, tutting, roboting and commericalised ‘pop’ video styles.  Be the next member of Flawless, Diversity or any other group from shows such as ‘Got to Dance’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’!  Previous themes have been ‘Toy Story’ and ‘Stronger’.

Baby Bounce!

Having many years experience of being a nanny,  Faye knows how important it is for young children to experience their senses, particularly touch with their parents/carers to enable bonding and emotional development.  There is a NEW 30 minute class using simple movements to dance together, nursery rhymes to sing and share together.  This will also benefit the child’s motor skills and co-ordination/balance.  This class would be aimed at 6months-3years old.  Both male and female adults are more than welcome!   (Email Faye for waiting list)

Bounce Adults! (Mondays)

These classes are a great way to meet people and endure some fun-filled fitness that is social and supportive.  These classes are held on Monday evenings at 7pm.  The class would consist of fun dance/disco/pop/salsa/streching alongside 70’s/80’s/90’s and the naughties music!  Minimum age is 16 and there is no maximum age!  (bank holidays and some school holidays off).

The classes centre on fun fitness, in which you’ll learn uplifting commercial dance routines at beginner/intermediate level. For anyone who has been in a Bounce Studios class/hen party workshop before, you’ll know that the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming to women of all sizes, shapes and hair colour.  The instructors are patient, friendly and happy to teach any moves from funky to sexy to silly!  You are guaranteed to laugh, feel great and burn calories … and hopefully make some new friends along the way.
